Dyrkorn has delivered lines and gear to fishermen for 100 yearsThe area around Aalesund on Norway's west coast have always had strong and active fishing communities. Dyrkorn was established for the sole purpose of manufacturing and delivering equipment to the long line fishing fleet, which gradually travelled further from home. After each trip we had a visit: "This is good..." , "We also need..." , "Are you abel to make...?". In cooperation with the fishermen we created a research and development partnership, and gradually Dyrkorn became a world leader in the manufacturing and supply of long line fishing gear.
Dyrkorn lines are used both for coastal and deep sea fishing. As the long line fisheries have become more industrialized, and larger values are at stake, Dyrkorn's close contact with vesselowners and fishermen has become increasingly important.
The best lines in the world are based on the fishermen's own experiences.
